Yesterday was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when our community comes together. ❤️🍎

Through charitable support from Eli Lilly and Company to United Way Worldwide, we joined United Way Madison County to distribute 40,000 pounds of nutritious food, serving 757 families and 2,546 individuals right here in Madison County.

From the volunteers packing and loading groceries to every partner who helped make the day possible, we’re grateful for all the hands that played a part in getting food to our neighbors.

Thank you to United Way Madison County, Eli Lilly and Company, our volunteers, and everyone who helped make this day of impact possible! Together, we can end hunger.

We just love it when our community comes together! 💚

This past Saturday, alongside the Decatur Police Department and volunteers from across the community, we served 600 families and distributed 33,475 pounds of food — the equivalent of 27,895 meals! 🍎

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped make sure our neighbors had food on the table. Thank you, Decatur, for playing your part! 🧡

During Hunger Action Month, Publix is playing its part in ending hunger 💚

Publix associates joined us in the warehouse to pack food for our North Alabama neighbors, moving more than 51,000 pounds of food in total. They’re also helping beyond their volunteer shift: Publix Charities has awarded us $350,000 in grants for a grocery donation vehicle, a barcoding system, and other equipment that will help us keep food moving.

From investing in the equipment that keeps food moving to volunteering their time, Publix is helping us meet the growing need in North Alabama. Thank you for showing up for our neighbors! 🧡

Before food reaches a pantry or a family in need, it must be transported. Each week, our drivers and operations team distribute food across North Alabama, connecting our warehouses with agency partners in 11 counties. This week, we celebrate everyone who plays a role in ending hunger, especially those driving and supporting hunger relief efforts daily.
