Come Support the Apple Valley Fire Association!

The Apple Valley Fire Association is hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, and everyone in the community is invited!

Join us on Saturday, September 12, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Fire House/Town Hall, located at 1777 N Meadowlark Ln.

Come enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast while supporting our local volunteer firefighters and the important work they do for our community. Your support helps our volunteers continue serving and protecting Apple Valley.

Bring your family, friends, and neighbors, come enjoy breakfast, and show your support for the Apple Valley Fire Association.

Hello AV Residents,
I am currently working on a permanent water conservation plan. However, until it is finished, I wanted to provide residents with the current water restrictions we are under. A copy of this will be placed on town bulletin boards and will be available from the receptionist upon request. We will also send a copy out via US mail to ensure everyone has a copy. I know I just published some generic water conservation request a few weeks ago while we were in emergency status, but I wanted to clarify the current exact water restrictions for everyone. Thank you.

Hello AV Residents,

I wanted to address a couple of complaints I have received about a white film in the water. It seems to be primarily noticed when washing dishes. This white film is calcium and magnesium carbonates also known as hard water. Although it may cause inconvenience, hard water is completely harmless to drink. Some studies state that the increase of these minerals are good for human consumption. When I bought my property five years ago, many people told me that AV has always had hard water. I was also told the same was true in Hilldale, Colorado City and Hurricane. I was told a water softener was necessary. So, this is nothing new to our area.

With that being said, Could the hard water have increased after blasting out the well? Sure, it is possible. Could it get better with time? Sure, that is possible, and I hope it happens. Could it get worse over time? Sure, that is also possible. We have zero control over the minerals in our water. It comes from the ground, into the tank and straight to your homes. We do not treat the water here in AV and we will avoid doing so as long as possible. Treating the water is very expensive and most residents do not want treated water in their homes.

I just wanted everyone to have good information and be informed. Thank you.

Coffee and donuts with the mayor this Wednesday (7/15/26) at 9:30 am in the town building. No agendas. Just open casual conversation. I will answer any questions about any topics or just come and share your thoughts with me.

Great opportunity to come and ask questions and get actual facts instead of listening to rumors. I will always give you facts.

All residents are welcome. This will be an informal monthly event on the 3rd Wednesday of every month where I will sit with residents and answer questions, listen to concerns, ideas, thoughts and opinions. No town council. No cameras. Nothing official. No drama. No hate. No arguing or back and forth. Just casual, friendly conversation with me and the residents. Again all residents are welcome and this will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 9:30 am. Thank you for all that are willing to participate. I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday.
