PrinceGeorges Advocates for Community-Based Transit Prince George’s ACT advocates for accessible transit and livable communities in Prince George’s County, MD.

Prince George’s Advocates for Community-based (PG-ACT) works to promote better transit service, transit-oriented development and safe access to transit. Safe and convenient transportation choices, including walking and bicycling, should be a priority for our communities. We have monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of every month, alternating between northern and southern Prince George's County. Please join us to learn more about transit in our county. 🚄 The Maryland Purple Line is the largest "public-
private partnership," or P3 Project, in North America.

🚄 There are 21 stations planned for the Purple Line. It
will connect MARC rail, Amtrak and local bus service.

Slowly, but surely, we're seeing our Maryland Purple Line take shape. Thank you to all who made this possible and let's keep working together for more and even better public transit options across Prince George's County and throughout the great state of Maryland!

Best part of my drive home is seeing this Maryland Purple Line track on Ellin Road. Tears in my eyes. A special thanks to Mike Madden with Maryland Transit Administration who was with this project at the beginning and is soon retiring! #onlytogether

Earlier today, Corporate Office Properties Trust broke ground on a 105,000-sq.-ft. office building in the Discovery District, which currently houses National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), U.S. Department of Agriculture, & U.S. Food and Drug Administration offices, as well as other public & private companies. The Discovery District counts on two future #PurpleLineMD stations.

As University of Maryland President Loh shares, the Purple Line will connect the Discovery District to the greater Washington, D.C., area.
