If you have an Indianapolis youth in your life who's getting ready to go back to school, you won't want to miss the back-to-school backpack giveaway this Saturday.

Celebrate education with the Indianapolis Urban League on Saturday, July 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for our annual Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway & Block Party at 777 Indiana Avenue.

FREE Backpacks with school supplies, health screenings, food, and live entertainment. Children must be present to receive a backpack.

Visit the Health and Education Zones for free health screenings for youth, haircuts, stop by the mobile library and receive a free book, and more. For parents, blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol screenings, and resources from more than 90 community organizations for parents and youth, including voter registration and affordable extracurricular activities.

In the Kids Zone, enjoy face painting, the bounce house, photos with cartoon characters and mascots, obstacle course and more!

Letz Get it POPPIN with DJ Chocolate Shake, DJ Kenny Kixx, local performers, and Cupid on the center stage! Join the fun while showing off your dance moves with friends, line dancing group, sorority, fraternity, or fitness workout group!

With Kroger Community Rewards, you can help Trusted Mentors with the groceries you were going to buy anyway. If you set up your Kroger account to benefit us, a percentage of every purchase you make where you use your rewards card supports Trusted Mentors.

To enroll, visit: https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards.

Once you're logged in, search for TRUSTED MENTORS INC either by name or QT739 and then click Enroll. If you don't already have an account, you can create one here.

You must have a registered Kroger rewards card account to link to Trusted Mentors. If you do not have a Kroger rewards card, they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.

Remember, purchases will not count for Trusted Mentors until _after_ you register your rewards card. You must swipe your registered Kroger rewards card or use the phone number that is related to your registration.

Public transit helps everyone. Our mentees use public transit to do the tasks we all need to do, like get to work and do errands.

Public transit infrastructure is a basic need, not a "nice to have."
