Indianola’s stormwater sewer system is a network of drains and pipes that prevents flooding along roads and properties. Now, a study has identified 18 high-priority sewer projects across the city—projects that must be completed for the safety and well-being of our community. To cover the cost of these projects, the City is increasing stormwater fees from the current $2 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) per month to $6/ERU/month. This increase will allow us to complete these critical projects in nine years, as opposed to the 28 years it would take at the current rate.
