Mountain Vigor is owned by a local Colorado couple who share a love and respect for nature and wish to preserve its beauty and educate the community on how to get involved in conservation efforts. Yesterday was a beautiful day to see Mt. Rushmore! This is one of our favorite views from the Presidential Trail.
We just took a road trip from Denver to Wisconsin Dells and then across Minnesota and South Dakota to Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park. (And back to Denver through Cheyenne, WY). Lots more adventure pictures to come!

As promised, here’s a few more pictures from our journey through the Badlands. We learned that prairie dogs are a key species to the ecosystem within the park because not only are they both predators and prey, their burrows provide shelter for other animals like black-footed ferrets and burrowing owls.

Kayaking adventures at Mirror Lake State Park in Wisconsin Dells! Such a beautiful place and thriving ecosystem. We were fortunate to see a blue heron, a green heron, a muskrat, a duck family, and lots of painted turtles and fish! even had a large alligator snapping turtle swim next to his kayak!

We’re exploring the Wisconsin Dells area this week!
This is Witch’s Gulch, an eerie place thought to be haunted due to its foggy, cool, cave-like appearance. It was made popular by photographer H.H. Bennett in the late 1800s. Witch’s Gulch is a slot canyon accessible by boat and was formed by great floods and ice breaking from the glacial lake of Wisconsin.
