4/12/2025 - Someone has been living rent/mortgage free the past several months in a 2017 Gray Wolf "Toy Hauler" and we need your assistance locating it and, hopefully, the person that misappropriated it. Stolen from the Gas area, it is described as tan in color with the front decal coming off, it last had a Kansas license tag with the last three letters of RLP. The Allen County Kansas Sheriff's Office does have the VIN number, so they or other law enforcement can further identify it.

Straw bales aren't cheap. Someone has stolen ten of them from a residence several miles southwest of Iola. The bales were part of a beautiful fall display that had just been disassembled and were being temporarily stored on a pallet. The owners told the Allen County Kansas Sheriff's Office they don't have much hope of recovery, but we think we know better. Let's locate these bales and get them back.

Welcome to our new page!

We created our original page in April 2013, and it did great. We needed to make a few changes and upgrades this year, but the Facebook machine wouldn't let us because of the way our page was originally set up. So here we are!! It is now much easier to communicate with us and share information from our community partners.

Here is all the stuff everyone wants to know about us:

Allen County Crime Stoppers is not the police or other law enforcement.

Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by providing safe and convenient ways to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies, enabling them to fight against crime and solve cases. All persons submitting tips can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information given leads to an arrest, conviction, or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.

It is a well-documented fact that criminals tend to keep committing crimes; thus the sum total of arrests from the Crime Stoppers Program across America has undoubtedly prevented thousands of other crimes from occurring.

Law enforcement has a saying that “Someone always knows.” That someone, or many of those people, are often reluctant to talk to law enforcement for two main reasons: Fear of Reprisal and Apathy (“Why should I get involved?”)

The Crime Stoppers Program helps break through those barriers. The fear of reprisal is countered by allowing people to remain completely anonymous. They never have to speak directly to police or testify in court.

The offering of cash rewards crosses the barrier of apathy. Although many people do not claim their rewards, the availability of cash is an incentive to many tipsters who may not have.
