I’ve been in the Navy for a long time and I’ve had a lot of experiences. Something I have never experienced, and something I will never experience, is that I will never walk in the shoes of a black American or any other minority. I think we need to listen.

USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3)

Every week I want to start highlighting some of the tremendous work being done by various Departments and Divisions on our mighty warship KEARSARGE. This week I chose C5I’s Automated Data Processing (ADP) or CA Division. ADP has been transitioning our entire IT network from ISNS to a CANES based system ever since we arrived in the shipyard. This well-choreographed effort has resulted in the successful transfer of 1,200 IT user accounts and critical data from the ship, to the barge, and then back to the ship. All ISNS user accounts were recreated for CANES compliance. A multitude of software programs had to be reinstalled and reconfigured too. Our new network also comes with new computer workstations, laptops, printers and computer peripherals—a whopping 55 pallets of such hardware and all of which had to be configured, distributed, and installed throughout the ship. Our amazing Information Systems Technicians (IT) have been making great progress on this vast endeavor so I want to give a BZ to our information warriors for keeping us connected with a free flow of vital electronic communication capabilities. Keep up the great work ADP!

PLEASE ATTEND AND SHARE WITH YOUR PEERS. Post Acute Medical to present nurse education grant to disabled Navy Veteran. Allen, TX – Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital of Allen will host an event honoring disabled Navy Veteran, Jeremy Morel, for his selfless service to our country and recognize his perseverance throughout recent hardships he has faced. Jeremy will be presented with a $5,000.00 education grant to assist with fulfilling his dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. This event will take place at Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital of Allen: Friday January 10th at noon. 1001 Raintree Cir. - Allen, TX - 75013 This Veteran grant was inspired by a chance meeting between brand new Uber driver and an Uber user. During his visit to Dallas, owner and president of Post Acute Medical, LLC, Anthony Misitano had the pleasure of meeting Uber driver Jeremy Morel. As they made their way to AT&T Stadium, Jeremy shared his story with Mr. Misitano, who was captivated by Jeremy’s positive attitude and unwillingness to give up on his dream of becoming a nurse. Mr. Misitano was inspired and knew that he wanted to help this Veteran in some way. Mr. Misitano stated, “During the last month I have been reflecting on the success I’ve had personally, professionally, and my good fortune throughout my life. I spent a lot of time thinking about a way I could give back, and pay it forward, and then this Uber ride happened. After hearing his story, I knew I had to find a way to help him.” Post Acute Medical has a great military affairs division dedicated to supporting and advocating for military Veterans by connecting them with a multitude of services and programs. This event is another example of how passionate the company is toward our military and those who have served. PAM Rehabilitation hospital of Allen’s CEO, Jenny Beuerlein, will be hosting the event along with Vice President of Military Affairs, Dan Blasini.
