It was a very important and meaningful occasion to come together, celebrate our Ukrainian heritage, honor Ukraine’s strength and resilience, and stand united in support of our homeland.

Part 1. A Celebration of Unity, Heritage, and the Unbreakable Spirit of Ukraine 🇺🇦
What an extraordinary evening it was as the entire DFW community came together to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, Ukrainian Flag Day, and Kharkiv Day!

This celebration was a beautiful reflection of the diversity and unity that make our community so special. People of many different nationalities, backgrounds, and cultures joined us to celebrate Ukraine, honor its heritage, and show their support for the Ukrainian people. 🇺🇦🤝🇺🇸
It was a celebration not only of a nation, but of freedom, culture, friendship, resilience, and the unbreakable human spirit. Through music, traditions, meaningful connections, and the support of our friends and partners, we were reminded that Ukraine’s story resonates far beyond its borders.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who came together to make this evening so meaningful, powerful, and unforgettable.

Your support means more than words can express. In the midst of war, every message of solidarity, every act of support, and every expression of friendship gives Ukrainians courage, strength, and hope to keep going and never give up.

⚠️ Important Update for Ukrainians in the United States: TPS Ending October 19, 2026
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced an important update regarding Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Ukraine.
According to the USCIS notice released August 14, 2026, the current TPS designation for Ukraine and related benefits is scheduled to terminate on October 19, 2026.
USCIS is sending notices to Ukrainian TPS recipients who remain eligible for TPS but have not yet received their renewal Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) with category codes A-12 or C-19, and whose TPS-based EAD applications are still pending.
For individuals in this situation, USCIS states that expired TPS-based EADs will remain valid through October 19, 2026, which is the end date of the Ukraine TPS designation.

📌 What you should do:
• Carefully monitor your mail for a USCIS notice.
• Check your myUSCIS account if you have one.
• Check the status of your pending applications through USCIS. (USCIS Online Tools⁠)
• Keep copies of your USCIS notices and immigration documents.
• If you are affected by the termination of TPS, consider consulting a qualified immigration attorney about other possible immigration options.

⚠️ Important: This announcement may significantly affect Ukrainian individuals and families who currently rely on TPS and TPS-based work authorization. Each person’s immigration situation is different, so do not assume that the same options apply to everyone.
The U.S.Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce will continue to share important updates affecting the Ukrainian community in the United States.

Today, the U.S.Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce was honored to participate in Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne’s 2026 North Texas Job Fair —an outstanding event that brought together 600+ employers and organizations along with thousands of job seekers from across North Texas.
We are grateful to Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne and her team for organizing such an impactful event and for bringing together more than 600 employers and organizations to support workforce development and economic growth in North Texas.

The U.S.Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce was honored to contribute, even in a small way, to the humanitarian efforts of the Asociación de Ecuatorianos Dallas–Fort Worth in support of those affected by the recent earthquake in Venezuela.
Our contribution may have been modest, but we believe that no act of generosity is too small. Every donation, every helping hand, and every expression of solidarity makes a difference.
Together, we can bring hope to communities in need!

The U.S.Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce officially celebrated the grand opening of its new office at the Prism Center in Dallas during a special ceremony attended by community leaders, business representatives, government officials, partners, and supporters of Ukraine.
The event also welcomed Vitalii Moshkivskyi, the newly appointed Consul General of Ukraine in Houston, to the Dallas–Fort Worth Ukrainian and business communities.
The ceremony began with welcome remarks from U.S.UCC President Tamara Velsher, followed by the national anthems of the United States and Ukraine performed by soloist of the Ukrainian Choir Barvinok, Daria Tsykalo. Consul General Moshkivskyi addressed guests and spoke about the importance of cooperation, partnership, and support for the Ukrainian community.
Representatives of the City of Dallas, including Beth Huddleston on behalf of Mayor Eric Johnson, also participated in the event and shared remarks highlighting the importance of strong relationships between the city, the Ukrainian community, and international partners.
A special moment of the ceremony was the presentation of a rare bottle of Ukrainian Art Wine from Bakhmut. The winery where the wine was produced was destroyed by Russian forces, while Ukrainian soldiers were able to rescue a limited number of bottles. The meaningful gift to the mayor was presented as a symbol of Ukrainian resilience, culture, friendship, and the enduring strength of the Ukrainian people.
The celebration concluded with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the opening of the U.S.Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce’s new office.
The new office will serve as a place for businesses, community organizations, and partners to connect, build relationships, exchange ideas, and create new opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
The U.S.UCC continues to promote business development, cultural diplomacy, education, and community partnerships while building bridges between Ukrainian, American, and multicultural communities throughout North Texas.

The Chamber expressed its gratitude to the City of Dallas, Mayor of Dallas Eric Johnson, and all the guests, partners, supporters, and community leaders who attended the celebration and contributed to this important milestone.

The grand opening marks a new chapter for the U.S.Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and its continued mission to strengthen partnerships, support businesses, promote Ukrainian culture, and build stronger and more connected communities.
