Daisy went missing last night from the 300 block of East Santa Fe Ave. in Isabel.

Daisy is very scared of people, so if you see her, she probably won't come to you.

If anyone has seen Daisy, please comment on this post with where you saw her, or call/message her family directly at 620-243-3316.

🔥 Community Fire Notice
If you notice smoke in the air this evening, there have been active fires directly north of us in Pratt County, as well as a few farther south of us right here in Barber County. Please keep the firefighters, first responders, landowners, and everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers.

We are incredibly thankful for the men and women who answer the call when their communities need them. ❤️

And on that note, if you ever notice neighboring fire departments in town refilling their trucks, please know the City of Isabel is always glad to support and partner with area fire agencies by providing water when needed.

Stay safe, and please remember to move over for emergency vehicles! 🚒❤️

💧 Water Tower Maintenance & Inspection Notice

The City of Isabel has scheduled routine maintenance and inspection of the City water tower for today, Wednesday, August 12.

Water service is not expected to be disrupted during this work, and residents should be able to use water as normal.

However, if you experience low water pressure or an unexpected disruption in water service today and the City has not issued a notice regarding an interruption, please contact City Hall so we can look into the issue.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this important maintenance and inspection work is completed to help keep our water system operating properly.

🚛 Now Hiring – Part-Time Trash Collection Crew

The City of Isabel is accepting applications for two part-time positions on the City trash collection crew.

Position 1 – Trash Truck Operator

Valid CDL required
Typically one day per week for a few hours

Position 2 – Trash Collection Laborer

No CDL required
Assists with the City's trash collection services
Typically one day per week for a few hours

The route is currently completed on Saturday mornings, but we may be able to work with the right applicants to complete it on a different day if that better fits their schedules.

These positions are a great opportunity for someone looking to earn a little extra income while serving the community.

🗑️ City of Isabel Trash Pickup Update
This week's trash pickup will be on Friday morning, July 17, instead of the normal Saturday morning. Please have your trash at the curb by Friday morning.
We also want to share a brief update with our community. After six years of dedicated service to the City of Isabel, our current Trash Supervisor will be stepping away from the position due to a scheduling change with his full-time employment that now requires him to work Saturdays.
We are incredibly grateful for his years of dependable service and the care he has shown our community. Please join us in thanking him for everything he has done for the City of Isabel. We wish him nothing but the very best in this next chapter.
The City will be accepting applications for additional trash truck operators. During this transition, trash pickup days may occasionally change as we work to ensure uninterrupted service. If a schedule change is necessary, we will notify residents through our page and our city text alert system.

Trash Pickup Update & Apology

I want to personally apologize for the automated text message that should have gone out yesterday regarding today's early trash pickup. Due to an error on my part, the scheduled notification did not send, and I take full responsibility for that oversight.

Trash service is being picked up this morning (Friday, July 3), one day earlier than the normal Saturday schedule, in observance of Independence Day.

I understand many residents rely on these text notifications, and I'm truly sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you missed this morning's pickup because you were unaware of the schedule change, please contact City Hall. We will work with you to make sure your trash is picked up next week.

Again, I sincerely apologize and appreciate your patience, understanding, and grace. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Fourth of July weekend.
