August 30th. 2025. On this Breast Cancer Awareness Night at Central Islip Stadium, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Hilda Melán, who had the honor of representing us with the ceremonial first pitch.

Her leadership, courage, and commitment to the community inspire us all to remain united in the fight against breast cancer.

Agosto 30. En esta noche de Breast Cancer Awareness en el estadio de Central Islip, queremos dar un agradecimiento muy especial a Hilda Melán, quien tuvo el honor de representarnos en el primer lanzamiento de la noche (first pitch).

Su liderazgo, valentía y compromiso con la comunidad nos inspiran a todos a seguir unidos en la lucha contra el cáncer de seno. ¡Gracias, Hilda, por ser una voz de esperanza y orgullo para nuestra comunidad!

Today it is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Ford. Life partner of our founder Elsa Ford and unconditional collaborator of BBSBCC.

Our dear Harold left this physical existence today in company of his immediate family

Possessor of all the titles that a man can treasure: Father, Husband, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend and who served The nation in the Navy during the Korean War.

Tireless, assertive, honest, collaborative and fun, a genuine soul who enjoyed the simple things in life like a baseball game, a good beer or a burger.

For those of us who had the honor of sharing his presence for many years, we feel a great emptiness but he will always be in our hearts.

Hoy con inmensa tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Harold Ford. Compañero de vida de nuestra fundadora Elsa Ford y colaboradora incondicional de BBSBCC.

Nuestro querido Harold dejó esta existencia física hoy en compañía de su familia inmediata.

Poseedor de todos los títulos que un hombre puede atesorar: Padre, Esposo, Abuelo, Hermano, Tío, Amigo y que sirvió a la nación en la Marina durante la Guerra de Corea.

Incansable, asertivo, honesto, colaborador y divertido, un alma genuina que disfrutaba de las cosas simples de la vida como un juego de béisbol, una buena cerveza o una hamburguesa.

Para quienes tuvimos el honor de compartir su presencia durante muchos años, sentimos un gran vacío pero él siempre estará en nuestro corazón.

Once again enjoying and sharing the Spirit of Christmas with those who deserve it so much.
