Unfortunately, I am no longer pursuing my candidacy for office. While this was not an easy decision, I believe it is the right one at this time. However, my commitment to our community remains unwavering, and I will continue to actively support initiatives that help us grow and thrive. I wish the best of luck to the remaining candidate and hope for a productive and positive future for all. Thank you for your continued support.

I live in a multi-generational household, and it brings a unique blend of perspectives and experiences that enrich our daily lives. My second "WHY" is perspective—seeing the world through different generations helps me understand and appreciate both the past and future. I understand that some may have concerns about change in our community, especially when it affects the traditions they hold dear. But I believe that embracing change is essential for our town to continue thriving and supporting residents of all ages, including our seniors. Building on the legacy of the past, we can create positive developments that respect our roots while welcoming fresh ideas and perspectives.

I want to take a moment to explain WHY I am running for the Itasca Village Board
The biggest reason is representation. I believe our community deserves representation that truly understands the wants and needs of families with younger children. With firsthand experience raising a young family here, I can tell you things aren't the same as it was 20-30 years ago. I see the unique challenges and opportunities families face. I believe our village leadership should include voices that can relate to the priorities of providing safe, supportive, and engaging environments where children and families can thrive. By serving as a trustee, I want to be a dedicated advocate for initiatives that enrich family life, strengthen community bonds, and ensure our village is a welcoming place for all ages.

I bring fresh perspectives and understand unique current needs of so many of us when considered. As a village trustee, I will work to ensure these voices are heard and valued, advocating for policies and projects that support the well-being of families today and lay a strong foundation for generations to come.

Our community deserves a fresh approach, one that goes beyond the status quo of the current administration. We need change—a proactive vision that embraces growth, adaptability, and inclusion. By focusing on what matters to families and children, we can make meaningful progress, creating a village that doesn’t just meet present needs but is prepared to thrive in the future. As a trustee, I will work to bring new ideas to the table, making our community a place that evolves with the needs of its people, providing opportunities for growth, and building a foundation that benefits everyone.

I have been deeply involved in this community, actively participating in local organizations, events, and initiatives that support our families and enrich our shared spaces.

Over the past four years, I have dedicated my time and energy to supporting the arts by helping shape the legacy of the Lake Park Marching Band (LPMB). As a committed executive board member of the Lake Park Band Parent Association, I have led numerous initiatives, including organizing our largest annual fundraiser, which raises over $70,000 to support the band’s activities. My involvement extends to fostering partnerships, such as with the Lake Park Educational Foundation, where my role as a trustee has helped enhance support for the arts across our community. Through these efforts, I am proud to contribute to a vibrant and thriving arts culture, ensuring that future generations experience the profound impact of LPMB.

As a trustee of the Lake Park Educational Foundation, I have played a key role in supporting educational initiatives and enriching student experiences. Additionally, my position as Secretary of the Springbrook Nature Center has enabled me to facilitate the growth and success of its programs. Finally, as Cub Scouts Committee Chairman, I have overseen service projects and fundraisers, fostering leadership and community engagement in young scouts.
