This upgrade was funded with $40,000 worth of grant money secured through the Safety Intervention Grant from the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation. These extrication tools will minimize the noise pollution and trip hazards on fire scenes due to not needing hydraulic power units and hoses.
We remain dedicated to our community and will continue pursuing grants like this to responsibly upgrade our equipment while minimizing out of pocket expenses.

Last night our department was able to come together to have our Christmas party.
We also handed out some awards for Firefighter of the Year. This award was voted on by our members and there was a 2-way tie. Congratulations to Kaleb Taylor and Stephen Richards for winning the 2025 Firefighter of the Year. Stephen also received an award for 35 years of service to the Bloomfield Fire Department.

Overall a good time was had by the firefighters and their families. We are thankful to have celebrated another year and we look forward to serving our community for many more.

The next JCFFA meeting will be held on Thursday, January 8th at 1800 hours. Jackson Fire Department will be the host for the meeting and it will be held at the DC Annex. Dinner will be provided and Cory Ireland will be doing a short classroom training on Emergency Vehicle Operations.
