The Dallas ISD Police Department is grateful to share that Officer Justin Jones is in stable condition and continuing his recovery following today's incident.

Officer Jones demonstrated extraordinary courage and dedication in service to our community, while reflecting the values our department strives to display every day.

We are thankful for the overwhelming support from our community, our law enforcement partners, and everyone who has kept Officer Jones and his family in their thoughts and prayers.

As a Police Investigator, you'll conduct comprehensive background investigations for police applicants, investigate criminal activity affecting the District, support campus security efforts, and work closely with local, state, and federal agencies to help maintain a secure learning environment. Chief Sanchez brings more than 10 years of law enforcement experience and a steadfast commitment to keeping our schools safe. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a genuine passion for serving others.

Since joining Gonzales ISD as Lieutenant, Chief Sanchez has worked alongside district leadership to strengthen campus safety, build meaningful relationships with students and staff, and help create a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment across our district.
