Onslow County APP updated their address.
The goals of Onslow County APP are to help teens:
1)Delay a second pregnancy,
2)Further their education,
3)Improve maternal and infant health care,
4)Avoid abuse and neglect of self and child,
5)Improve parenting skills,
6)Improve life management skills, and
7)Plan for future employment.
The Adolescent Parenting Program at PEERS is open to any and all pregnant and parenting high school/GED students in Onslow County aged 19 and under. This program assists students with building parenting and life skills, and can also provide transportation to medical and other program related appointments. APP Staff uses the "Partners for a Healthy Baby" Curriculum during monthly home visits to provide current, evidenced-based information to participants. Group members meet once monthly for peer support, and informational meetings that adhere to program goals.
