Sophomores who participated in Spook the Halls: if you would like your posters, please pick them up in Mrs. Susa's room 210 by the end of today.

Every Senior attending Carowinds this weekend must go by Mrs. Fountain room before Friday to copy the remind code posted ON THE DOOR.

Everyone please donate a jar of peanut butter or jelly to an S2S member so that we can make a donation to the Soup Kitchen. You can also drop it off in Mrs. Fountain's room 311. This will collection will end on October 31st.

Have you ever had a boyfriend or girlfriend or are hoping to date while in high school? Dating as a teenager is common but violence in a relationship should NOT be! Come to the auditorium TODAY during Power lunch for A or B session to learn about healthy relationships and teen dating. Speaker Dawn Stallings from the Onslow Women's Center will be here to discuss these topics and answer your questions!

Attention Seniors- Did you miss your senior picture session over the summer? Do you need a retake? Senior Picture Tux and Drape Retakes are Thursday, October 26th from 8-2.

Announcements for 5-30-17

Auditions for the 17-18 Show Choir are today and tomorrow (May 30 and June 1) from 2:30-3:30 in room 910. Come prepared to sing a song of your choosing, sight read, and dance. You must stop by room 910 to sign up for a time slot and see Ms. Garrett prior to the audition.

Students: All books and other library materials are due back to the media center by tomorrow (Wednesday, May 31).

Seniors: Josten’s has delivered more cap and gowns, so you may check in the main office to see if yours has come in.

Seniors: There will be a mandatory meeting that senior parents must attend tomorrow (Wednesday, May 31st) at 1:00 pm in the auditorium or at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. Parents must attend one of these meetings in order to receive graduation tickets.

Students: In order to attend graduation and/or project graduation, all fees must be paid to the school by this Friday, June 2 at 11:00 am to the media center.

PBIS Fun Day has been postponed to tomorrow (Friday). The following is in reference to the PBIS Fun Day:

1. Students who are eligible for PBIS fun day will need to have their ID and will receive wrist bands.

2. Students with 3 or more referrals will not be able to attend.

3. Dr. McDuffie sent an up-to-date list of ineligible students as well as other relevant information via email yesterday.

Also, don’t forget that during our Fun Day on Friday, Mrs. Garrett will have Karaoke in room 910. We encourage faculty to participate along with the students.

Going to Prom and want to order pictures? Pick up a Prom Photographs Order Form in the mailbox outside of room 510.

There will be a cross country interest meeting today at 2:30 in Mr. Hager's room, #203, for anyone interested in running next year. If you cannot make the meeting, please stop by Mr. Hager's room to get the information.

There will be a football awards ceremony for all players today in the health room during power hour sessions A and B. If you cannot make it see Coach Pollock or Coach Knowles

During Power Hour today, we will meet with the seniors to discuss Project Graduation to include providing any forms that they need for this event. All seniors who plan to go to Defy Gravity and Jungle Rapids will need to meet with us during the A session of Power Hour today.

Stressed out from the end of the school year? Need a laugh? Come see Mr. Taylor’s third period theater class’s end-of-the-year performance of “The Chronicles of Jane: Book Seven” tonight at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Tickets are $5.

Cheer tryouts begin today. Tryouts are from 3:30-5:30 in the gym thru Thursday. Applicants must come each day.

Congratulations goes to Maya Stanley who won the 2A State Championship in discus on Friday! This is a great accomplishment!

Today’s senior spotlight congratulates Jasmine Hudson for being accepted to North Carolina Central University.

The Coastal Carolina Community College counselor will be here Wednesday, May 17 for the final time this year. Seniors who plan to attend Coastal after graduating should go by guidance and sign up to see her. Sophomores and Juniors who plan to take a dual enrollment class but have not turned in their applications, should also sign up to see her.

Show your team spirit by joining us for a fundraiser to support Northside High School’s Volleyball Team by coming to the Chipotle today between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Tell the cashier you’re supporting the cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Northside High School’s Volleyball Team.

Any band student that wishes to attend the band banquet on Thursday, May 25 needs to complete the online form emailed out this week by next Wednesday. The link will also be posted on the band website.

The softball team will be selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts today. The cost is $8 for a dozen doughnuts. See Coach Hollis or one of the softball players to purchase your doughnuts!

Spring football practice begins Monday. Any questions see Coach Pollock or Coach Knowles.

AP NIGHT – is Tuesday, May 16 from 5:30-7:00 pm in the Media Center. All AP teachers are asked to attend & as well as all students and parents of students planning to take an AP class next school year. Information for students and parents will be provided on this night.

If you are interested in joining next year's Yearbook Team, please stop by Ms. Bigelow's room (#323), to pick up an application and come to our interest meeting today during homeroom after checking in with your homeroom teacher. All rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores with strong writing skills are welcome to apply.

Attention Fall Semester AFJROTC students.
Please turn in all uniform items from Drill Team, Raider Team and Military Ball by Friday, 19 May.

Reminder: AFJROTC Annual Awards Ceremony will be Wednesday, 17 May @ 6:30. Cadets and Parents are invited.

Do you have plans tonight? Well now you do! The Northside High Dance Department presents their end of semester recital, "True Colors". Tickets are $5.00 for ages 5 and up and doors open at 6:30 pm. This is the programs biggest fundraiser of the semester. Please come out and support the dancers and all their hard work!

There will be a blood drive on Thursday, May 25th. If you are 16 years old and up, please sign up in Mrs. Atchison's room 602 during power hour.

Cheerleading tryouts will begin Monday, May 22nd and run through Thursday, May 25th. Participants must be present each day. Pick up contracts from Mrs. Goynes in room 321.

Ladies, do you want to go to prom, but you don't have the time or money to get an expensive prom dress? Come by Ms. Carden's room, # 510 to pick up a free prom dress. Dress are available in sizes 0-16 and are in excellent condition!

Prom will be Friday, May 26 from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at the Jacksonville Country Club. You cannot attend if your fees are not paid. The theme this year is Enchanted Masquerade. Come by room 510 during Homeroom or after school ONLY to purchase tickets for $40 for a single or $70 for a couple.
