Early Head Start of Onslow County Partnership for Children

Early Head Start is a federally funded, community-based program which serves low-income pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers (under age 3) living in Onslow County. EHS provides a wide-range of high quality services at no cost to families and their children. EHS Services to Young Children include: - Health & Developmental Screenings - Assistance with physicals and well-baby checks - Home visits using researched based curriculum (Parents As Teachers) - Educational activities for future school success EHS Services to Families include: - Referrals to local agencies for assistance (food, clothing, housing, health & public benefits) - Access to resources for job training & education - Parent-child play groups - Information about child development EHS Services to Expectant Families include: - Support Prenatal and postpartum care - Provide Prenatal Education using research based curriculum (Partners for a Healthy Baby) - Transportation assistance to medical appointments when needed
