🚨 SCAM ALERT: IMPERSONATING PICKENS SHERIFF’S OFFICE DEPUTIES 🚨

We have received reports of scammers calling citizens and pretending to be deputies with the Pickens Sheriff’s Office.

The Pickens Sheriff’s Office will NEVER call you and demand payment over the phone. We will not threaten you with arrest unless you immediately send money, purchase gift cards, or make an electronic payment.

Scammers may use the names of actual deputies and can even make the phone number appear legitimate.

If you receive one of these calls, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY. Do not provide any personal or financial information.

Please SHARE this post with your family, friends, and especially elderly loved ones so they don’t fall victim to these scams.

🇺🇸 25 Years Later, We Remember

Today, members of the Pickens Sheriff’s Office were honored to attend the 9/11 25th Anniversary Patriot Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at Lee Newton Park.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders who ran toward danger, and recognize the countless lives forever changed by September 11, 2001.

We will never forget their courage, their sacrifice, and the unity our nation showed in the days that followed.

Never Forget. 🇺🇸
