On Saturday, we held our annual Shop with a Cop of Jefferson County shopping event. Officers and Deputies from across Jefferson County spent the day shopping alongside kids from our community. This year, 38 children were able to participate.
We kicked off the day by meeting Santa, pairing each child with an officer, and taking group photos. Each child was given a budget to purchase items and toys—not only for themselves, but also for their family members. It’s always heartwarming to watch how much thought and care the kids put into choosing gifts for their parents, siblings, and loved ones.
Once shopping was complete, the kids rode the bus to the VFW, where they wrapped their presents while enjoying snacks and pizza.
