This Valentine’s season, I’m reminded why I’m running in the first place — love for our kids, our schools, and our community.

Love means showing up.
Love means listening.
Love means putting service over self.

Our schools deserve leaders who truly care about students, teachers, and families.

My heart is in District 3 because this is home.
My kids go to school here.
We work here.
We live life alongside you every day.

If you believe in strong schools, safe campuses, and a community that works together, I’d be honored to have your support.

Let’s lead with heart. ❤️

Sunday we proudly recognize and celebrate National School Resource Officer Day but TODAY we want to say thank you! ❤️💙

Our School Resource Officers do so much more than wear a badge. They build relationships, mentor students, protect our campuses, and help create a safe environment where our kids can learn and grow every single day.

From elementary schools to high schools across Jackson County, these men and women show up early, stay late, and serve with heart. They’re coaches, role models, counselors, and protectors — not just officers.

Thank you for standing watch over our schools.
Thank you for caring for our children like your own.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

If you see an SRO today, please take a moment to say thank you — they truly make a difference.

Most people around here knew Mr. Parks as the man who owned the barbershop. If you grew up in this area and around Apple Valley, you probably remember the sound of the clippers, the laughter, the conversations that carried through the door. And when you heard “the Parks or the Barber Shop at Apple Valley,” that’s likely what came to mind.

But my story is a little different.

I knew Mrs. Parks as more than a familiar name in town. I knew her as a reading teacher at Maysville Elementary School. I was in her reading group in third grade—and I struggled. Reading didn’t come easy to me. Words felt heavy. Confidence felt far away.

But Mrs. Parks cared.

She didn’t just give me extra help; she gave me her time, her patience, and her belief. She took pride in what she did. She didn’t treat teaching as a job—she treated it as a calling. She connected. She invested. She endured.

Because of her, the rest of my school years looked different. I learned to read well. I became efficient in school. I gained confidence I didn’t even know I was missing. And it all traces back to that third-grade classroom and a teacher who chose to care.

I will never forget that year. I will never forget Mrs. Parks.

Now, more than 27 years later, to have her support during this election means more than I can put into words. People like her shape the future by pouring into it—one child at a time. Her impact didn’t end in that classroom. It lives on in the lives of the students she believed in.

As I run for District 3, I pray I carry the same heart and passion Mrs. Parks showed me—a heart that cares, a spirit that endures, and a commitment to serve others well.

With that kind of leadership, we can conquer great things in District 3.

Thank you for your kind words.

I never truly thought about how much it mattered until I saw this.

Sometimes you feel like you’re just doing your job — just showing up, helping where you can, doing what’s right. But you never really know the impact you’re having on someone’s life.

The impact you leave on someone today might be the difference in their tomorrow.

I’ve watched life slip away in the palm of my hands… and I’ve also experienced life being spared in those very same hands. Those moments change you. They teach you what really matters — people, compassion, and service.

That’s the heart I carry into this campaign.

No titles. No politics. Just service.

Live a life of a servant — no matter the capacity.

That’s exactly how I plan to serve Jackson County and District 3.

Family First. Community Always. District 3 Strong.

My family — and families just like yours — are the reason I’m running for Jackson County BOE District 3.

As a husband, a dad, and a proud member of this community, I understand what’s truly at stake. Our schools aren’t just buildings — they’re where our kids grow, learn, and prepare for their future.

✅ Safe schools
✅ Strong academics
✅ Support for teachers
✅ Opportunities for every child

Every decision I make will be made with families like mine in mind — because I’m not just asking for your vote… I’m raising my kids here too.

I’m committed to serving, listening, and working hard for ALL of Jackson County.

I’d be honored to have your support.

Why do I want to run for School Board?

It’s a question I’ve been asked a lot lately — and it’s one I take seriously.

This isn’t about politics or titles for me.
It’s about our kids, our schools, and our community.

Here’s exactly why I’m running for Jackson County BOE – District 3:

✅ Safe, secure schools where students and staff feel protected
✅ Supporting teachers with clear policies — not micromanagement
✅ Giving parents a real seat at the table and actually listening
✅ Keeping decisions local, made by people who live and work here
✅ Valuing academics and athletics to build well-rounded student athletes
✅ Operating with transparency, honesty, and trust
✅ Serving as a backbone for our community — not pushing a personal agenda

Most importantly… this is home.
My family is here. My heart is here. And our kids’ future matters to me.

I’d be honored to earn your support. 🇺🇸

Family. Community. Commitment.

These aren’t just words on a sign — they’re the values I live by every single day.

My family is here. My kids are here. My heart is here in Jackson County. I’m running for the Board of Education because I truly care about our schools, our teachers, and most importantly, our students.

I believe in:
✔ Supporting families
✔ Strengthening our community
✔ Staying committed to our kids’ future

We’re here for all the right reasons — and we’re just getting started.

This campaign isn’t about politics.
It’s about family, community, and commitment.

We live here.
We work here.
Our kids go to these schools just like yours.

Jackson County isn’t just where we vote — it’s home.

Every decision made by the Board of Education directly impacts our family too. That means we don’t take this responsibility lightly. We aren’t running for a title or recognition… we’re stepping up because we care deeply about the future of our schools and the kids walking those halls every day.

When I say I’m committed to District 3, I mean it.

You’ll see us at the ballfields, school events, church, and around town — because we’re not outsiders trying to lead from a distance. We’re neighbors who want to serve.

Our children deserve strong schools, supportive teachers, safe environments, and leadership that truly listens.

That’s why I’m running.
Not for politics.
Not for agendas.
But for Jackson County families.

I’d be honored to earn your support for Jackson County BOE – District 3.

I wanted to take a minute to share something that’s really important to me.

I don’t believe this role is about being a leader above everyone — it’s about being a member of the community.

Titles don’t build strong schools.
People working together do.

A school board member should listen, serve, and stand alongside families, teachers, and students — not push agendas or make decisions from a distance.

That’s exactly how I plan to serve District 3 and all of Jackson County.

Take a moment to watch this short video where I explain what being a member first truly means and why it matters.
