Childplace, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency established in 1966, providing multiple treatment options for children and families in Southern Indiana.

Foster Care Services works with licensed foster homes within the surrounding communities of Jeffersonville, IN. Trained foster parents, under the supervision of Childplace, provide a safe environment for children who have special needs or who have been subject to abuse or neglect. We Strive To:
• Utilize healthy patterns of discipline while
primary relationships are mended
• Encourage sp

iritual growth
• Provide respite care and step down
services
• Have Case Managers on call 24 hours per
day 7 days a week
• Utilize intensive case management to
maintain contact with parents,
caseworkers and foster parents

Services Available to Clients:
• Individual and Family Therapy
• Group Therapy
• Psychological Evaluation
• Drug and Alcohol Assessment
• Psychiatric Support

Our foster care services are primarily for children needing a safe environment due to special needs, abuse, or neglect.

At Childplace, one of the ways we support families is through our Community-Based Services💙

Our Community-Based Services program supports families in their homes and communities through therapy, case management, and visitation support, helping them work through challenges and build on their uniquestrengths.

Using a trauma-informed approach, we focus on understanding the “why” behind behaviors while treating every family with compassion and respect. The goal of these services is to help prevent out-of-home placement or support children as they transition back home.

This past week, we celebrated Kim Samuel as she retires after 28 years with Childplace!

Kim has served our agency in countless ways through her administrative role, and her dedication and heart for the work we do has been a tremendous asset to all of us. Hear from Kim below:

✨"It has been my honor and pleasure to work with the Childplace team for over 28 years. The staff and children I have met and worked with have made these years truly memorable. The unique experiences that happen when working with children and families in need have made me more compassionate to the world we live in.

While I may have been the one serving at times, I was always the one receiving the greater blessing. Childplace has been more than a workplace for me - it's been a family. I will keep this agency in my prayers as the hard work continues."

May's staff spotlight goes to Collin Sissom, one of our foster care case managers!📣

Collin has served as a case manager with Childplace for a year and a half, working diligently to support foster families by helping meet practical needs, navigating the child welfare system, and providing encouragement and consistent support as they care for children from traumatic backgrounds.

✨Collin shares the why behind his work - "I believe that as followers of Jesus, it's our mission to run towards brokenness and not away from it, just like He did. I want to do that by extending both practical and spiritual help to the most vulnerable people in our world - children."

Yesterday we celebrated Nathan Samuel’s 40 years of service and leadership at Childplace🎉

For the past four decades, he has helped shape our mission of serving children and families in need. The impact of his leadership can be seen throughout the lives of all the children, families, staff, and community members connected to Childplace.
