This afternoon, during the cervical cancer prevention event, our President welcomed the City Clerk of the City of Paterson, Edith Gil, who toured the medical office facilities of in Paterson.
During the visit, the Foundation’s purpose and mission were shared, as well as the impact of its work in the community, allowing the official to gain firsthand insight into the efforts UNETE carries out to promote access to healthcare and the well-being of the population.

On the morning of Saturday, May 23, , in collaboration with the Consulate of the Dominican Republic in New Jersey and CDI of Hackensack Meridiana Health through NJCEED, successfully carried out a cervical cancer prevention and early detection health fair.
During the event, Pap smear screenings were provided and free mammogram appointments were scheduled, benefiting residents of the city of Paterson who do not have health insurance and face multiple barriers to accessing the healthcare system.
