Hello Friends,
Yesterday afternoon, I learned that after all the votes were counted I was 58 votes short. I contacted Cesar D Cardenas and congratulated him on running a well fought campaign. I also offered to support him as he leads District 4 down in Joliet City Hall. I’m asking my supporters to also support him as he is truly a kind, thoughtful community leader who deserves our support in this district as the new leader.
I am planning a thank you reception for next month for all those who supported our campaign. I want to thank you, hang out with you and show you how much you’ve meant to me. In addition, I want to share with you what’s next for me as this was just the beginning and one door doesn’t stop the show! A much larger door is opening for me and I want you all to be apart.
In the meantime, I want to thank my campaign manager, Demmond Dorris and my deputy director AJay Edwards along with our entire campaign team for sticking with me as we all knew our agenda was to make Joliet Greater! I want to especially thank my wife, Tecara Parker who held it down for me in every area while we all fought hard to win this race! I’m better because of you!
I am encouraged to keep on fighting and I know this battle maybe over but the goal and vision in seeing that Joliet becomes the best it can be for everyday people has just began.
