This week, we welcomed Shawn Marconi, Executive Director of Will Grundy Medical Clinic, who shared how WGMC is addressing health-care challenges in our community by providing accessible medical, behavioral health and housing support. With approximately $7 million in care provided to more than 1,000 individuals, WGMC is making a meaningful difference in the lives of local families. It was especially nice to see Shawn alongside Jd Ross, who previously served as the Director of the clinic.

Congratulations to Angie Calandro Caldwell on receiving Joliet Junior College’s J.D. Ross Extraordinary Service Award at their Night of Stars. The award, named for JJC’s former President (and active Kiwanian), recognizes people who make a positive impact through service to others. Angie is the President of Pink Heals Joliet Area Chapter, an organization that honors and supports people fighting all types of cancer.

Our club understands the importance of putting books into the hands of children and fostering a lifelong love of reading.

We are proud to sponsor this special event in support of the Imagination Library initiative, helping make books accessible to children in our community.
