Community Update from Councilwoman Santia Fox

Many of you have reached out to me regarding posts, comments, and interactions that recently took place on the City of Jonesboro’s official social media pages.

I want you to know that your concerns were heard. During tonight’s meeting, the City Council discussed the importance of professionalism, transparency, and maintaining public trust on our official government communication platforms.

As a result, the Council approved a resolution initiated by Councilman Alfred Dixon to establish a Social Media and Digital Communications Policy for the City of Jonesboro. This policy will provide clear guidelines to help ensure that official city communication remains professional, informative, and focused on serving our residents, businesses, and visitors.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to share their concerns and feedback. Your voice matters, and I remain committed to advocating for accountability, transparency, and communication that puts our community first.

Apparently, Graham has appointed himself as the official taste tester of the house. 😂

Every time I step into the kitchen, he appears out of nowhere convinced that everything I’m cooking belongs to him. If it smells good, he’s already on duty and ready for quality control.

I guess every great chef needs a taste tester… and Graham takes his job very seriously! 🤣

Office Hours in the City of Jonesboro… Successful!!!!!

Today, I had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Cortez, an amazing entrepreneur and resident right here in the City of Jonesboro.

Mr. Cortez and I discussed his vision for our city, and I must say, hearing him speak reignited a fire in me and reminded me exactly why I ran for City Council.

Residents and business owners like Mr. Cortez are who I advocate for every day. They are invested in our community, passionate about its future, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help make Jonesboro even better.

Thank you, Mr. Cortez, for taking the time to meet with me today. I enjoyed our conversation and look forward to speaking with you again soon as we continue developing your ideas and exploring ways to help bring them to life.
