Hi friends -
Want to better understand how Hawaiʻi's elections work before ballots go out this summer?

The Hawaiʻi State Legislature will be hosting a public informational briefing with Chief Election Officer Scott Nago on Wednesday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m. to walk through the 2026 election process and answer many of the questions voters have every election cycle including:

Important dates for the 2026 Primary and General Elections
Who is eligible to vote and how to register
How vote-by-mail works and other ways to vote
How to track your ballot from mailing to counting
How ballots are processed and tabulated
Recent changes to Hawaiʻi election laws
Resources available through the Office of Elections, including the Voter Guide
The presentation will be followed by questions from Committee Members only. During informational briefings, no public testimony is accepted.

Whether you're voting for the first time or have voted for years, this is a great opportunity to hear directly from the Office of Elections and better understand how Hawaiʻi administers its elections.

Join us for a West Hawai'i Town Hall to hear about the 2026 Leg Session.

I'm looking forward to joining my West Hawai'i colleagues from the Senate and House this Thursday, July 2, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the West Hawai'i Civic Center (Building A) to share highlights from the 2026 Legislative Session, discuss issues impacting our community, and hear your thoughts and questions.

Today was our County Convention, where we voted on our platform and resolutions that will go to our State Convention. We'll post them when they're finalized, along with the minutes.

If you're interested in knowing more, follow along!

Our delegates from D6 also discussed having a joint district meeting and inviting our elected officials. Excited for this opportunity to engage with our electeds and our community.

This weekend, we'll vote on our county platform and resolutions, hear from our outgoing State Party chair, and elect two State Central Committee (SCC) reps.

Our County Convention is happening this coming weekend. Reach out if you'd like to attend and listen in.
