Join the Birth Center at Logan Health - Whitefish on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. as they gather to participate in the International Wave of Light to acknowledge and remember pregnancy loss and infant death. Those who have experienced or been affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and newborn death are invited to come light a candle in honor of their baby.

If you are unable to join them in person, you can still be part of the Wave of Light at 7 p.m. by lighting a candle in your home and sharing it online with the hashtag

My name is Eslie and I am an MSU nursing student doing research on prenatal care access in Flathead county. I am looking for women who are currently pregnant or have given birth within the last year in Flathead county between the ages 18-45. The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes.

📣📣📣 Announcement: DOULA BILL (SB319) SIGNED INTO LAW!!! 📣📣📣
Friends, I really did not think, after all of the controversy and attempts to kill it, that this bill would actually pass. This final hurdle, getting the bill signed by the governor, was a major one - and we cleared it.
Montana has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the nation. This bill expands Medicaid coverage and opens up private insurance for doulas, who reduce c-sections by 37% and postpartum depression by 64%, improving outcomes for moms and babies.
I am so excited for mothers, babies and families across Montana who can now have this vital service covered by insurance. What a huge win.
Thank you to the entire doula community for your unbelievable amount of hard work showing up and advocating for this bill, to the indigenous leaders from across the state who ensured our legislature understood the importance of this service to Indian Country, and to all who made their voices heard.“
