Building Bridges Across Illinois

The Illinois Judges Association is proud to highlight the outstanding work of the 16th Judicial Circuit in Kane County as they continue to strengthen the connection between the courts and the communities they serve.

Inspired by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Rochford's Bridging the Courthouse and Community initiative, the new "Bridging Kane County Courts to the Community" video series makes the court system more accessible by explaining common court processes in clear, everyday language.

Featuring Chief Judge Robert K. Villa, judges, and court staff, the 14-part series helps residents better understand everything from jury service and traffic court to finding court dates and accessing free legal resources.

This innovative project is a shining example of how Illinois courts are using collaboration, education, and transparency to build public trust and confidence in the judiciary.

👏 Congratulations to Chief Judge Villa, Justice Rochford, the judges and staff of the 16th Judicial Circuit, and all of the partners who made this initiative possible. Your work reflects the very best of our judiciary and demonstrates how we can continue building bridges across the State of Illinois.
