Are you passionate about community engagement and making a difference in the lives of those impacted by violence? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Street Outreach Team!
โจ Open Position: Street Outreach Worker
Role Overview:
Connect with high-risk individuals in the community to build trust and provide support.
Conduct outreach in neighborhoods, schools, and community centers to engage with youth and adults.
Facilitate access to resources, programs, and services that promote healing, education, and empowerment.
Collaborate with local organizations, law enforcement, and community members to reduce violence and foster positive relationships.
Requirements:
Passion for community service and commitment to the mission of Kankakee Forgives.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Lived experience is a must. Background and history doesn't not necessarily disqualify you! Experience in outreach, social work, or a related field is a plus but not required.
