Barely put the lawn chairs away and we’re doing it again!

Music Under the Oaks returns THIS Sunday, August 2, 4-6pm at Cobb Park. Two Sundays in a row, and we’re not complaining! This time it’s the KVSO Brass Quartet.

Did you know? Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra has been around since the 60s, back when they just called themselves The Society for the Friends of Music. Still sums it up perfectly, don’t you think? Friends in the park and music in the air! What more could you ask for?

We’re so glad to have Shelby Ryan playing Music Under the Oaks Sunday, July 26.

If you haven’t caught one of her shows yet, she’s a singer-songwriter with roots in Kankakee and a great acoustic mix of folk, rock, jazz, and pop, plus songs of her own. Perfect fit for a summer afternoon by the river.

Come out to Cobb Park from 4 to 6 pm. Bring a chair and a friend. Free as always.

Park clean-up season kicks off in our own backyard! We’re teaming up with The Currents of Kankakee at Cobb Park this Saturday, July 11, 9 to 11 am. Come lend a hand and we’ll knock it out together!
