Support in Motion

Support in Motion Offering low-pressure, activity-based support group meetups that combine healing with movement and meaningful experiences. That’s okay, too.

Support in Motion provides an alternative form of support for those navigating grief and trauma. What Makes Us Different

Support in Motion offers low-pressure, activity-based meetups that combine healing with movement and meaningful experiences. From walks in nature to gentle yoga, art activities, or even cathartic moments like smashing items in a rage room, our focus is on integrating support i

nto everyday life. These gatherings create space for authentic connection without the formal structure of traditional support groups.

Our hope is that participants will feel less alone and more understood as they connect with others who truly “get it.” Whether you choose to share your story, listen, or simply take part in the activity, you’ll find a community that supports you without expectation. We are committed to ensuring our meetups are sensitive to the needs and triggers of our participants. For example, gatherings for parents navigating infant loss are held in spaces free from strollers or children.

A Message for You

If you’re hesitant about joining, that’s okay. Grief and trauma can make it hard to take the first step. Some days, even considering it is enough. Maybe next time, you’ll get ready but stay home, or drive to the meetup but decide not to join in. When you’re ready, we’ll be here. Support in Motion is about meeting you where you are—offering a space to move, connect, and heal, all at your own pace. Together, we can begin to find moments of comfort and connection in the midst of the unimaginable.

If in-person support isn’t an option right now, that's okay.

Sandwiched KC is doing such thoughtful work to meet people where they are and we hope you’ll take a look at what they’re offering.

Being a caregiver is rewarding, but it can also be isolating. You don’t have to carry it all alone. Join our virtual support group and connect with people who truly understand your journey.

Bereaved Mother’s Day is observed the Sunday before Mother's Day to recognize and honor mothers who have lost a child—through miscarriage, stillbirth, infant or child loss.

For many, traditional Mother’s Day can feel isolating. This day creates space for grief, remembrance, and validation. It reminds us: you are still a mother, and your love still matters.

We’re live! Our website is here — and our new logo comes with a deeply personal story. 🧡

Support in Motion began with a simple idea: walking together through grief.
This community was built for those navigating grief — through pregnancy and infant loss, and beyond. Through movement, creativity, and connection, we move together.

But there’s more behind this launch than just a new look.

Can you spot the hidden detail in the flower of our logo — the gentle silhouette of my son’s profile? His brief life is woven into every part of this work, and this small detail is my way of carrying him with us as we walk forward.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for walking with us. 🧡

Support in Motion offers activity-based support groups that foster healing, connection, and growth—without the pressure of traditional roundtable-style discussions or virtual meetings.
