Support in Motion provides an alternative form of support for those navigating grief and trauma. What Makes Us Different
Support in Motion offers low-pressure, activity-based meetups that combine healing with movement and meaningful experiences. From walks in nature to gentle yoga, art activities, or even cathartic moments like smashing items in a rage room, our focus is on integrating support i
nto everyday life. These gatherings create space for authentic connection without the formal structure of traditional support groups.
Our hope is that participants will feel less alone and more understood as they connect with others who truly “get it.” Whether you choose to share your story, listen, or simply take part in the activity, you’ll find a community that supports you without expectation. We are committed to ensuring our meetups are sensitive to the needs and triggers of our participants. For example, gatherings for parents navigating infant loss are held in spaces free from strollers or children.
A Message for You
If you’re hesitant about joining, that’s okay. Grief and trauma can make it hard to take the first step. Some days, even considering it is enough. Maybe next time, you’ll get ready but stay home, or drive to the meetup but decide not to join in. When you’re ready, we’ll be here. Support in Motion is about meeting you where you are—offering a space to move, connect, and heal, all at your own pace. Together, we can begin to find moments of comfort and connection in the midst of the unimaginable.
