I am honored to have the support of our Lee's Summit Firefighters. Please come out and vote for me on April 3rd and together we can make Lee's Summit a premier destination for Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, and all City Employees.

For those who don't know me or what I am about, here is one of the reasons I am running for the District 2 City Council seat.

I have lived in Lee's Summit my entire life. I graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 1999. My roots are here and I have decided to raise my 3 children here.

When I was 17 years old I knew a guy who always wanted to be a firefighter. When he graduated high school there was one open position in the city of Lee's Summit. Hundreds of people applied for this one open position.

It was recently brought to my attention that the city of Lee's Summit has multiple open positions that they cannot fill. This does not sit right with me.

Lee's Summit should be a place where the best and the brightest want to come and stay. If we do not become more competitive with other Kansas City Metro area city's employee compensation, Lee's Summit will soon become a place where the best and the brightest want to leave.

This is a public safety issue that needs to be addressed. I am running to address this issue.
