After 3 years at KWCH and more years than I can count in media, Friday was my last day in the industry!

A huge thanks goes out to everyone who made the journey possible. I leave this chapter with the best coworkers and colleagues — who im lucky enough to call friends and family. I’m excited to keep following the work of all the amazing journos I know. To the athletes, coaches, admins, parents and viewers, thank you for trusting me with your stories and allowing me to deliver the news to you almost every night.

Never did I think what started as covering high school sports in northwest Missouri would end with me staying shoulder to shoulder with Taylor Swift on the field after Chiefs playoff games. I mean, the Chiefs weren’t even good when I started this whole journalism thing!

As for what’s next, I will be staying in Wichita and joining the strategic communications team with Sedgwick County. So my days of being on TV likely aren’t totally done! I will also continue and expand my duties as a host for Sports Daily with KFH Radio!

It’s sports anchor Brandon Zenner KWCH’s last day here in our newsroom, and he brought cookies! (You know he’s a good one when HE brings the treats!) He makes the best chocolate chip, but this maple cookie he made today is bomb.
