For safety purposes, I have been asked to share this with you. Throughout Facebook, there are suspicious individuals that send people friend requests, or "like" something on your page & you have no idea who they are & nothing that remotely links y'all together. I, personally, have had this happen to me a few times, some of my friends/Marines have experienced it & now, it has happened here, on our detachment page. It's pretty much general knowledge on Facebook, that these individuals could possibly be scouts for terrorists groups looking for people to recruit. Please be aware.
This is NOT meant to offend anyone. It's just a friendly heads up & that's it.

Our detachment lost one of our own. David Lemak, Past Commandant, and co-founder passed May 4, 2016. He was a Vietnam vet, and a Purple Heart recipient.

I know it's a little early to think about our Marine Corps Birthday but if you want to celebrate it with thousands of motivating Marines from different eras of the Marine Corps, various deployments, a mixture of all ages, all walks of life and all areas of the US, then you have to start planning now! Every year Marines from every corner of the Earth converge on Cookie's Tavern in Philly, for an all day event honoring and celebrating our Corps. Parris Island Alumni Reunion group will be celebrating our 2nd Annual Reunion right along side all of these Marines at Cookie's. We are extending an invitation to any Marine and/or Marine supporter to join us at our Welcoming Party, Nov 9th and Landing Party, Nov 12th. If you are planning on a trip to Cookie's this year, you will want to join our before and after parties. These parties do need to be paid in advance and are limited on space. Do not wait on purchasing a ticket ($70 covers both parties paid via PayPal https://www.paypal.me/PIAlumniReunion ) ~ do not miss out ~ we expect both parties to sell out!!
