There are a lot of great pictures to post from the Season Finale Instructional Dinner & Grand Ball (THANK YOU Patty Hewitt !) so I will start with the Instructional Dinner.
FINALLY, what you have all been waiting for- the final instructional Event also included Parents Dip into Dancing !!
Also at the final instructional Event, the Season One students practiced pinning on boutonnieres and corsages and, with a little help from a couple of Dad's the Ladies and Gentlemen of Season Two learned how to tie a tie.
Good planning or coincidence ? The final instructional Event of the Season included Sports Etiquette and was the day after the Astros won the World Series ! To celebrate the students were invited to wear their Astros gear. The Season One students were lucky to get a presentation on Sports Etiquette from my good friend and head basketball coach at Seven Lakes HS, Shannon Heston.

Some of the topics covered at the 4th Event of the Season on October 30 were: table setting, dining and door etiquette and of course, more dance moves !
At the third Event of the Season on October 16 no injuries were suffered when the Season Two students practiced pinning on corsages and boutonnieres!

We also covered how to seat a lady; how to help a lady with her coat and "door" etiquette.
And of course- more dance moves.
Some of the topics covered at the second Event of the Season were:- introductions: how to shake hands; how to seat a lady and of course some more dance moves ! The Season Two students were lucky to have a presentation on Interview Skills from one of our Mom's- Kelly Herrera- THANK YOU Kelly and THANK YOU chaperones.

THE FIVE COURSE INSTRUCTIONAL DINNER(SEASON TWO STUDENTS ONLY) WILL BE FROM 5PM until 7PM
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY THE GRAND WINTER BALL(SEASON ONE & SEASON TWO STUDENTS) FROM 7PM until 9PM.
BOTH PARENTS WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE BALL FOR THE FINAL 30 MINUTES.

Cotillion is back ! At the first Event of the Season we learned how to sit pretty and sit strong: how to seat a Lady properly: West Point Military Academy es**rt position: how to go through a refreshment line and, of course, some dance: closed position and basic Foxtrot steps.🙂

INVEST IN YOUR CHILD"S FUTURE AND ENROLL THEM IN NLJC. THE "SOFT SKILLS" THEY LEARN WILL BE USEFUL BOTH NOW AND THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES.
REGISTRATION IS BEGINNING TO FILL UP BUT THERE ARE STILL SPACES AVAILABLE FOR SEASON ONE(6th/7th GRADE) AND SEASON TWO(7th GRADERS THAT HAVE COMPLETED SEASON ONE and 8th GRADE). FRESHMEN ARE WELCOME FOR SEASON TWO.
