🌟Silent Auction Donations Needed🌟
Our MGE PTA is working hard to prepare for our upcoming Fall Festival, Grizzfest, and we need your help!
Grizzfest is our top Family event of the year and you don’t want to miss it! Every year this event features carnival rides, bounce houses, games, karaoke, food, raffles to enter, and a silent auction.
Our Silent Auction is always a favorite of parents and kids. There are unique items to bid on such as “Teacher for a Day”, “Front Office Helper,” Name the school carpool line, Movie afternoon with teachers, etc. In addition, the PTA works hard to get donations of items like tickets to a events,gift cards, discounts to local venues,themed baskets,etc. We need YOUR help with donations for our Silent Auction this year and we hope this gives you some ideas.
❓Do you have a business that is interested in offering a product or service?
❓Do you have Season tickets to a sporting event and won’t be able to attend all the games? You could donate 2-4 tickets so they don’t go unused.
❓Do you have season tickets to a Fine Arts Event? Those work too!
❓Do you have a vacation home you would like to share with another Griffin family?
❓Are you crafty and want to make something for our silent auction? We’ve already received a beautiful quilt from a MGE Mom that will be featured at this year’s auction.

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY - Destination Imagination (DI) Information Meeting!!
Every year MGE students in grades 1-5 form Destination Imagination teams and work together to create collaborative projects and challenges. It’s a fun learning opportunity and this meeting will give you all the information you need to determine if this opportunity would be a good fit for your student(s).
If you’re unfamiliar with this organization, the mission of Destination Imagination is to inspire and equip youth to imagine and innovate through the creative process so they will become the collaborative leaders of tomorrow.
Our school has been participating in this program for years and we’re excited to form our new teams for the 2022-2023 school year. In fact, our fabulous MGE Teams have been invited to Global’s for the last 7 years. Last year one of our MGE Teams went to State and Globals and ranked 9th at the Global Competition - such a big accomplishment! 😀 🏆

It’s time to sign up for our annual Mother/Son night of fun!! Grizzly Games is our special event for Moms & Sons to have a fun night playing games with their MGE classmates and friends! This is something you don’t want to miss and TICKETS 🎟 are now officially on sale! 😀
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, September 29th from 6-8 pm. We’re hosting this event at Katy Party place and your ticket is good for UNLIMITED Putt-Putt Golf, Go Karts, AND Inflatables. Your ticket also includes 2 slices of pizza 🍕 and a bottle of water. All of that for $22 per person?!? What a great value!! 😀

Here are a few important details:
Both Moms AND Sons need a ticket to attend. This event is only for registered Griffin Boys with mom/guardian (just MGE families for this event). When you purchase your tickets online please keep the E-Receipt/order number (there is an option to print your confirmation.) No Physical tickets 🎟 will be issued before the event. Instead you will check in by name at the PTA Desk when you arrive and they will have a list of all who purchased tickets. Super easy!

We will have our own Griffin section in the stands and it will be super fun to cheer on the Space Cowboys with other MGE families!

Friday: 4th & 5th Grade 12:30-1:30 pm
The MGE yearbook team is already working hard to make this year’s book “Un-BEE-lievable” and they’d love to have you join the team!
