In 1991, Founder and President Jake Rodriguez, sought the help of the South Brunswick Police Department in creating a league that would assist in the academic and athletic improvement of children in the South Brunswick Community. With the help of present SB Police Chief Raymond and Deputy Chief Kevin Hughes,
who were Patrolmen at the time, the South Brunswick Police Athletic League (SBPAL) was bor

n. Over the past (19) years, the SBPAL has served the South Brunswick Community with honor and distinction. Operating as a Non Profit organization and with the help of a 100% Volunteer Board of Directors and Coaches, the organization has expanded over the years to include such activities as: Flag and Pop Warner Football, Traveling Basketball, Wrestling, Cheerleading, Track and most recently, Girls Field Hockey. In addition, the SBPAL has contributed to various charitable organizations and causes and rewarded South Brunswick High School Seniors with over $10,000 in scholarships. The SBPAL is proud of the positive effect the organization has had on thousands of children over the years and is committed to continuous service for many years to come.

The South Brunswick Police Athletic League would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Capriccio’s Pizzeria for their generous support of our programs and the kids in our community.
