Know Before You Ride!
Not all motorized two-wheeled vehicles are treated the same under Wisconsin law. Whether you're riding a motorcycle, moped, or gas-powered bike, it's important to understand the licensing requirements and where you can legally ride.

Before heading out, make sure you know:
βœ… What your vehicle is legally classified as
βœ… Whether you need a driver's license, motorcycle endorsement, registration, and insurance
βœ… Where you can and cannot ride

A common misconception is that these vehicles can be operated on sidewalks, bike paths, or in city parks. In many cases, they cannot. Understanding the rules helps keep everyone safe and can prevent costly citations.

Please take a moment to review the graphic before your next ride. If you're unsure how your vehicle is classified, check the engine size, top speed, and whether it has working pedals.

Ride responsibly, follow the law, and help keep our roadways, sidewalks, and parks safe for everyone.

Please place debris at the curb by 6 a.m. on your collection day. No scheduling is required.

After the storms today, the City of Kenosha is responding to many different calls for service around the city. Many households lost power, trees and there is a mess to clean up. If you have a parkway tree that came down in the street please either message me photos along with the address or leave a comment with the same information. I am working to make sure the Public Works Department has record of the trees down so that they can all be addressed. Please remember, this is only for parkway trees. I am waiting for additional information about down branches and personal trees.
