🏫✨ Open House is Almost Here! ✨🏫

We’re SO close! Construction is nearly complete, and we’re excited for you to see our brand-new main office and updated spaces! 🎉

Our classrooms are ready and will be prepared to welcome students as planned at Open House. However, you may see some furniture and supplies temporarily piled throughout the building waiting for construction completion to be moved into our new areas.

Pardon our mess! 📦🪑 We’ve been told everything will be in its proper place by the first day of school.

🎉 WELCOME, MRS. LINDSEY FLITCROFT! 🦅❤️

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Lindsey Flitcroft as the new Principal of Curtis Strange Elementary!

Mrs. Flitcroft has been part of the KUSD and Curtis Strange family for more than two decades, serving in many capacities, including as a Physical Education Teacher and Dean of Students. She is already well known and deeply loved by our students, staff, and families, making this transition feel like a natural fit!

Outside of school, Mrs. Flitcroft enjoys cheering on her two sons at their various sporting events and spending time with friends and family.

She is excited to see our returning students and families, meet new Eagles and new staff, and ensure that the Curtis Strange experience for every student, staff member, and family is second to none.

We are so excited to have her leading our school community!

Curtis Strange families, please take a few minutes to complete your Free & Reduced Meal Application on or after July 1 each year.

Families MUST complete a new application each year because applications expire in mid-October.

💙 Why is this so important?
The information collected through these applications is a major source of funding for our school and helps determine the resources available to support our students. Completing the application may help our school qualify for additional funding and programs, including Title I support, academic services, instructional resources, and other student supports.

🏫 Every family matters!
We will be monitoring completion throughout the year to make sure we reach 100% family participation. This is an important task for every family, and your completion directly helps us access resources that benefit our students and school community.

Even if you don't think your family will qualify, complete the application. Every completed application helps!

A HUGE thank you to all of our **Strange staff and students who came out for National Night Out last night!** 🦅❤️

It was wonderful seeing our Strange families and staff connecting with one another and our community. Your smiles, conversations, and Eagle spirit helped make the evening such a success!

Twenty-five years of Math 24 at Curtis Strange! 🎉➕➗✖️

Today we celebrated a quarter-century of students building math skills and confidence through friendly competition.

Congratulations to all participants in grades 1-5 for their hard work, and thank you to the staff who have supported this tradition over the years.

The grand finale was the 5th grade vs. staff showdown—and the 5th GRADERS ARE THE GRAND CHAMPIONS 2026! 🏆
