The final Quest For The Golden Monkey cache has been recovered! 🗽

Congratulations to Josh Ellingson of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota—who found the secret, fifth hide at the University of Minnesota Field Plots in Falcon Heights, Minnesota.

The cache was hidden on April 14, 2023 at the site of the "Field Recording" video from Clue #5. Today, 612 days later, Ellingson uncovered it from its hiding spot and claimed the Liberty Medallion!

Congrats again to Josh — a ten-year veteran TC Treasure Seeker who, if you'll recall, also snagged the second Ruby with his crew on an epic late-fall pilgrimage to Three-In-One Island in Barnes, Wisconsin.

The fourth Quest For The Golden Monkey cache has been recovered! 🐒

Congratulations to Matt Littlefield of Apple Valley, Minnesota—who found the secret, fourth hide at Kensington Runestone Park in Solem, Minnesota.

The cache was hidden on April 11, 2023 at the root of a poplar tree near the Runestone discovery site. Today, 311 days later, Littlefield uncovered it from its hiding spot and claimed the bonus prize!

Congrats again to Matt — a longtime TC Treasure seeker who you may recognize as the finder of our fourth Ruby Hunt gem, back in April of last year. He shares this find with longtime treasure hunting partner Ed Brodie (who yesterday just barely missed claiming the find himself) and their teammate Mike Nowak.

The third Quest For The Golden Monkey gamepiece has been recovered! 🙊

Congratulations (again!) to Mondie Gonzales and Jason Reed of Olmsted Falls, Ohio—and finder Lily Kjos of Moorhead, Minnesota—on uncovering the third Golden Monkey!

The treasure was planted on April 10, 2023 at Statue of Liberty Park in Fargo, North Dakota. This afternoon, just 194 days later, Ms. Kjos retrieved it from its hiding spot (as registered hunters, the team claims the full $300 reward for their find)!

Mondie and Jason are on a roll! The pair have now gone back-to-back with Golden Monkey solves in both Dakotas!

All three Golden Monkey gamepieces have now been claimed; the five remaining clues will continue to be published on the 15th of each month through March 2024.

The second Quest For The Golden Monkey gamepiece has been recovered! 🙉

Congratulations to Mondie Gonzales and Jason Reed of Olmsted Falls, Ohio—and finder Saige Gullickson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota—on uncovering the second Golden Monkey!

The treasure was planted on April 10, 2023 at the southwestern corner of McKennan Park’s historic sunken garden and arbor. This afternoon, just 159 days later, Ms. Gullickson retrieved it from its hiding spot (as registered hunters, the team claims the full $300 reward for their find)!

For solvers Mondie and Jason, this win spells redemption: the pair were inches from the Ohio Ruby Hunt gamepiece in 2021, but came up just short of the find.

The first Quest For The Golden Monkey gamepiece has been recovered! 🙈

Congratulations to Dena and Dave Carey, who traveled from Ely, Minnesota to the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth—and unearthed the first of the Golden Monkeys!

The treasure was planted on April 11, 2023 at Arena Waterfront Park, overlooking the Duluth harbor and its historic Aerial Lift Bridge. This afternoon, just 117 days later, the Careys retrieved it from its hiding spot (as a registered hunter, Dena claims the full $300 reward for her find)!

Congratulations again to Dena — a longtime armchair seeker who made this find on her first ever boots-on-the-ground expedition! She shares this win with her husband Dave, who was on hand to share in the celebration.
