The organization now known as the Kent State Socialist Collective (KSSC) was founded in the late fall of 2012 as a chapter of the Young Democratic Socialists, the youth section of the Democratic Socialists of America. As we be

gan organizing in earnest we encountered a number of students whose goals and ideas we felt were in line with our own. The group was reformed in the fall of 2013 as the Kent State Socialist Collective. Our current membership consists of radicals, socialists, communists, and anarchists. Our organization is multi-tendency and we maintain sovereign independence from all national and international organizations. Follow us on Twitter
