After a lot of thought and one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make, our time at the Mason House Inn has come to an end. It actually ended in July, but we had to get some loose ends tied up before we wanted to come out and say something.

The inn is closed, and all outstanding guest and event refunds have been completed.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who stayed with us, attended events, supported us, shared stories, and became part of this chapter. The Mason House was so much more than a business to us, and leaving was not an easy decision.

A quick note for Scenic Drive weekend: the inn is fully booked, and those reservations will still be honored by the previous owners. Any cancellations for that weekend will not be subject to refunds.

We’ll still be around Bentonsport that weekend enjoying the festivities, so if you see us, please say hi — or feel free to reach out to us directly.

Thank you for all the memories, support, and kindness. We’ll carry this chapter with us for a long time. ❤️

This year, we are honored to be “adopting” an incredible senior who just graduated, and we’re throwing them a graduation party filled with love, support, and celebration on June 6th. 🎓

We would love to surprise them with a mailbox full of graduation cards from our extended family, friends, followers, and community. Whether it’s a simple congratulations, words of encouragement, advice for the future, or just a little kindness — every card would mean the world.

Today, Bentonsport steps back in time. 🕯️🎻

Come spend the day exploring one of Iowa’s most historic river villages during Heritage Day — with historic demonstrations, music, shops, food, and free old-fashioned dance lessons in the pavilion across from the Mason House Inn.

Then tonight, keep the experience going at the Mason House Inn with an evening of live music, dancing, hors d’oeuvres, and Victorian-era atmosphere hosted by author Darcie McGrath.

If you’ve never experienced Bentonsport during Heritage Weekend…today’s the day. ✨

Some places become part of you. The Mason House has been one of those places for us. It’s been a home, a labor of love, and a space filled with incredible people and moments we’ll never forget.

With broken hearts, we’ll be leaving The Mason House on November 1st. We don’t know what comes next just yet—but we’re so grateful for this chapter.

Until then, we’re still here—fully open and hosting. If you’ve been meaning to visit or attend an event, we’d love to see you before we go.
