The Star-News is owned by Gannett Company, Inc. and is sister to the Door County Advocate and Green Bay Press-Gazette. Tony Evers puts Wisconsin-Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary proposal back on table

"It will provide educational benefits to families across the state and is projected to attract thousands of additional tourists each year, boosting tourism and economical growth in our beautiful coastal cities," Gov. Tony Evers said.

Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers announced his support and petition to NOAA to renew the Wisconsin-Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary proposal Friday.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was airlifted to a Green Bay hospital.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was airlifted to a Green Bay hospital.

One driver died and the other was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after a two-car crash Wednesday.

Even with warm temps last week, farmers are worried late planted crops won't mature before it freezes.
