The Keyport Response to Recovery is an initiative I spearheaded while serving on Borough Council. Together, with the Keyport Police Department we convened a task force uniting community leaders, volunteers, professionals and neighboring resources to combat the opioid crisis and save lives.

As a result, we formed the Keyport Response to Recovery (KRR), committed to breaking down the barriers caused by the stigma of addiction and making recovery possible. The KRR is based on compassion and hope. We believe that access to the right tools at the right time is a step in the right direction. We created a seamless program to close the treatment gap. The KRR offers recovery options at the point of contact with law enforcement officers.

From first response to recovery, we are committed to ending addiction and despair one neighbor, one friend, and one family member at a time. Through our valued partnership with Hazlet's Hope Network, our officers are uniquely equipped to connect a person with a trained Peer Recovery Coach.

Recovery Coaches provide individuals with support and guidance, assist in identifying treatment options and maintain contact to help sustain recovery.

Where there is help there is HOPE!
