Our Happy Hornets have officially CRUSHED the first nine weeks! 🎉 We celebrated all their hard work and accomplishments with orange Fanta and some yummy snacks! 🥤🍿

🏆 A special SHOUTOUT to our trophy-winning classes! These classrooms went ABOVE the district average on their Reading, Math, and/or Science benchmarks! 📚➕🔬

We are SO proud of our students and teachers for their dedication and hard work! 💙💛

Get ready! This week we will announce the first STEEL Award winner of the 2026-2027 school year! What makes this award extra special is that each one is hand-made of steel, crafted by students in the KISD Career Center welding classes, and polished in the automotive classes.

STEEL is an acronym for: Supporting The Education and Empowerment of Learners

Watch for staff to be recognized each month and learn about how they embody what it truly means to be a STEEL award winner.
