Open House –
The Kingston Lock Tender’s House is still open from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturdays, Sundays and major holidays in October; 10:00 am – 4:00 pm in November.

Subjects currently on display are, Lake Carnegie and its dam – its history and the current repairs, Princeton Nurseries and The Kingston Quarry. Also currently featured is the recently acquired Moor-Potts Library Desk. The desk was made in Kingston by local cabinetmaker, John F. Moor.

A Walk Through History/Fall Foliage Walk –
Saturday, October 15, 1:00 pm
Meet at the Lock Tender’s House here in Kingston and carpool to Alexander Road for a beautiful, two to three hour walk among the fall colors. The walk will take place rain or shine, so plan to enjoy some exercise and the cooler fall weather.

Saturday, October 8, 1:30 pm – Honeybees and Beekeeping

Rockingham's very knowledgeable resident beekeeper, Pier Guidi will be speaking about honeybees and beekeeping in the modern age.

The program will be followed by (weather permitting) a visit to Rockingham's own on-premises bee yard where Pier maintains bees that produce Rockingham's local, raw, wildflower honey. Learn about the interesting lives of honeybees, the fundamentals of beekeeping, and how you can get started on your own "backyard beekeeping" adventure. Seating for this event is limited.

YingHua International School students will be performing for the Kingston Community on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 10-11 am at Kingston Fire Station, Heathcote Rd. It is a FREE event. It is YHIS way of thanking the Kingston community for the warm welcome we receive. Get a glimpse of Chinese culture and some light refreshment will served.
