The City will be running the mosquito sprayer on the 2nd and 3rd of November from 10pm to 6am. All streets and allies are passed with the sprayer unless the alley is too saturated. South of Binz-Engleman will be sprayed on the first night and north of Binz-Engleman will be sprayed on the second night. We also throw mosquito tablets in creeks and allies when we can’t drive in with the truck. Public Works throws tablets in creeks when we cut our easements as well. We are doing our due diligence to keep the mosquitoes to a minimum.

We have gotten several calls today about helicopters. Let me tell you what we know.
Earlier it WAS San Antonio. They were working something unrelated to Kirby(they did not let us know what it was) and that incident has been over for a while. The helicopter you guys are asking about now belongs to another agency who was working on serving a warrant and their included a helicopter. The officers made contact and the incident should be wrapped up or wrapping up by now. 🚁

Right now the Officers are telling me that the San Antonio Eagle is up in the air! We don't have a lot of details because it is not our call but I do know that they are searching for a silver car with purple paint. Just be aware of your surroundings and if you see something say something. Call us if you need us!

Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office

STATEMENT FROM JASON BRIDGES, NACOGDOCHES COUNTY SHERIFF

(Nacogdoches, Tx.) It is with great sorrow that I report that a Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Deputy was tragically killed in the line of duty early this morning.

Deputy Raymond Bradley (Brad) Jimmerson, age 48, was struck and killed this morning while attempting to remove debris from the roadway on US highway 259, approximately 7 miles north of Nacogdoches. Deputy Jimmerson had been dispatched to a call of a traffic hazard in the roadway at that location.

Nacogdoches Communications Center began receiving calls on the crash at 6:46 a.m. Deputy Jimmerson was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Kerry Don Williamson.

The investigation into the crash is being conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol. All media inquiries into the investigation should be directed through that agency.

Deputy Jimmerson has been with NCSO for 19 years and in Law Enforcement for over 20 years.

Funeral arrangements are pending at this time with Laird Funeral Home in Nacogdoches.

Deputy Jimmerson was a beloved member of our community and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He served our community with distinction and honor. He will leave behind a deep void within our law enforcement family and community.

Please keep Deputy Jimmerson’s family, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, and all law enforcement officers in your thoughts and prayers.
