🚒❤️ WHAT THEY DON’T SEE BEHIND THE SIRENS — THE FIRE FAMILY

They see a firefighter.

What they don’t always see is the family standing behind them.

It’s the “be safe” that means more than two words. The hugs before they leave. The changed plans, missed dinners, interrupted celebrations, and waiting to hear those words we all want to hear:

“I’m headed home.”

Being a fire family means learning to live with pride and worry at the same time. It means supporting the person you love as they run toward what others are running from.

It isn’t always easy, but it teaches us to hold each other tighter, appreciate the ordinary moments, and never take coming home for granted.

Behind every firefighter is a family that loves, worries, supports, sacrifices, and waits. ❤️

That’s the family behind the sirens. 🚒

🚒 Happy Volunteer Fire Department Day! 🚒

Today we proudly recognize the dedicated men and women of the Southern Yavapai Fire Department who volunteer their time to protect and serve our communities.

These firefighters answer the call day or night, giving their time away from their families and jobs to be there when our community needs them most.

❤️ Thank you, Southern Yavapai Fire Department, for your dedication, sacrifice, and service. We appreciate you today and every day! 🚒🇺🇸

📢 FRY BREAD EVENT CANCELED

Unfortunately, our Fry Bread Event scheduled for Saturday, August 15 has been canceled due to circumstances beyond our control.

We have not received the proper permitting required to hold the event, so we are unable to move forward as planned.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding and support. ❤️

Today, Southern Yavapai Fire Corps had the privilege of surprising the amazing teachers and staff at Kirkland Elementary School with classroom supplies to help them kick off the 2026–2027 school year.

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles on their faces and knowing they are a little more prepared for the year ahead. We truly appreciate everything our educators do for our children and our community.

We wish all of the students, teachers, and staff a wonderful and successful school year!

🚨 Hair Stylists & Barbers Needed Tomorrow! ✂️

Unfortunately, the hairdressers who were scheduled for our Back to School event are no longer available.

We’re looking for any licensed hairstylists or barbers who could donate their time tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Southern Yavapai Fire Department in Wilhoit, Arizona to provide FREE haircuts for local students.

If you can help for all or part of the event, or know someone who can, please send us a message as soon as possible.

Your time can make a big difference in helping our students start the school year with confidence. ❤️✂️
