Eliot, Kittery, South Berwick
Mark moved to South Berwick following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, choosing Maine for its independence, strong communities, and respect for personal responsibility. He attended the Academy of the New Church in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, and earned degrees in Economics and Finance from Lehigh University, with a strong foundation in mathematics.
Mark built his career in the private sector on Wall Street, beginning as an institutional fixed-income trader and later becoming a partner specializing in high-yield and distressed securities. His work required discipline, accountability, and real-world financial decision-making—principles he believes are too often missing in state government.
He is running because Maine’s challenges are financial at their core. State government needs professionals who understand balance budgets and deliver fiscal responsibility to the citizens of Maine. Mark’s expertise will help grow the economy, rein in spending, and reduce the tax burden on young families and older residents alike.
Mark believes that strong communities grow from people helping one another, not from layers of bureaucracy.
