First Utility is a proud supporter of Women In Water, a professional networking group in connection with Tennessee Association of Utility Districts (TAUD) dedicated to women actively employed in the water and wastewater industry.

This year's Women In Water Luncheon was knocked out of the park with the A League of Our Own theme! Our group of FUD ladies that was able to attend had a great time together; winning the dress up competition! A huge thanks to the Women In Water Committee for putting together another great gathering, especially our very own Kena Hyers and Leea Butler.

Every successful organization depends on the people working behind the scenes, and Emily Price is an essential part of keeping First Utility District running smoothly.

As Staff Accountant, Emily oversees our accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time. From managing documentation to coordinating with departments across the District, her attention to detail and commitment to accuracy help keep our daily operations moving forward.

Emily's role requires organization, collaboration, and precision, and she consistently delivers all three. We're grateful for her hard work and dedication to serving both our team and our customers.

Our summer interns wrapped up their TeenWork Program experience by presenting everything they learned and accomplished during their time at First Utility this summer. It has been a privilege to play a small role in their journey, and we are proud of all they have achieved.

A special thank you to Chris Martin, Gary Hall, and Megan Bourne for serving as outstanding mentors and investing in these talented students throughout the summer.

We wish our interns all the best as they begin their senior year and look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future!

Packing the school supplies is only part of what goes into Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs' School Supply Slam. After the bags were packed, volunteers—including our very own Chris Martin—gave their time after hours to help distribute school supplies to Knox County Schools families, ensuring students are ready for a successful school year.

We're proud to play a small part in an effort that makes such a big impact, and we're grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support the families who call Knoxville home.

Our 5th Annual Christmas in July Golf Tournament is officially in the books, and what an incredible milestone it was!

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters, we celebrated our biggest tournament yet by raising a record-breaking $53,000+ for the First Utility Employees' Christmas for the Kids Program.

This event simply would not be possible without the amazing businesses and organizations that choose to invest in this cause year after year.
